Background and Education
Dr. Khodabakhsh completed his medical school and residency training at the New York Medical College in Valhalla, New York. He then pursued further subspecialty surgical training at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary. Upon completion of training, Dr. Khodabakhsh joined the faculty of New York Medical College as a clinical assistant professor of ophthalmology.
He is a pioneer in the field of premium cataract surgery and was one of the first surgeons in the world to use femtosecond laser technology for cataract removal. He is also consistently one of the first users of the newest premium intraocular lens implants. He is a consultant, key opinion leader, and speaker for most major ophthalmic companies including Bausch and Lomb, Johnson and Johnson, Alcon, Zeiss, Merck, Novartis, Shire, and Sun Pharmaceuticals. He has performed numerous clinical trials and is presently engaged in 3 separate FDA trials for cataract surgery and dry eyes.
