Background and Education

As a Cornea and Refractive Surgery Fellow at the world famous Cleveland Clinic Cole Eye Institute, Dr. Chong cultivated expertise in a wide array of technologically advanced and innovative surgical techniques to restore and augment the vision of patients suffering from a variety ocular and visual pathologies.

Dr. Chong completed her ophthalmology residency at the prestigious New York University Grossman School of Medicine in Manhattan. While a resident, she lectured at numerous national and international ophthalmology conferences on advances in ophthalmic imaging and laser vision correction.

Dr. Chong received her medical doctorate from The Ohio State University where, in addition to receiving several competitive national research grants, she was awarded the Dr. Eli and John Alcorn Departmental Prize for Excellence in Ophthalmology. Dr. Chong also holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of California, Berkeley.
